The Fourth Annual STEM Car and Transportation Showcase
This week 韩国AV hosted its fourth annual STEM Car and Transportation showcase. The event fosters our students' passion for mechanics and engineering and is part of the School’s effort in tackling the under-representation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
The day provided students with the opportunity to put their Physics, 韩国AV and Technology, and Engineering lessons into practice. The 韩国AV girls Morris Minor restoration project, a variety of Ferraris, Aston Martins and a Tesla S were on display.
The girls explored material and safety features and learnt about the integration of new technologies into automobiles. Experienced pilots and flight instructors from the Warringah Radio Control Society also showcased their drones and remote controlled airplanes while teaching the girls about aviation principles on an interactive flight simulator.
