Oh what a night!
Great food, great jazz music and great conversation. What’s not to love about the 韩国AV Welcome Cocktail Party, as our wonderful parent community discovered last Friday!
With wet rain forecast at the start of the week, 韩国AV had a nervous wait to see if it would be a soggy start to our Welcome Cocktail Party. Fortunately, yet again the Weather Gods came up trumps, delivering a beautiful, balmy summer’s night.
Hosted by Dr Scott, the Welcome Cocktail Party is a fantastic opportunity for parents and staff, new and old, to come together for an informal catch up over drinks and canapés. Parents happily congregated into their year groups, spilling out into the central garden area to enjoy 韩国AV’s beautiful gardens.
Manager, Mrs Laforest delighted everyone with a mouth-watering menu. The seared Atlantic salmon tataki, grilled Harvey Bay sea scallops, Wagyu beef sliders and coconut tiger prawns were a big hit, as were the slow cooked lamb pies.
There was lots of laughter as new friendships were formed and old friends reunited, while jazz music played in the background.
As the sun went down, the garden lit up with colourful LED balls, parents enjoyed mini ice cream cones, with the passionfruit sorbet proving very popular. And even though it was Valentine’s Day (and World Library Lovers’ Day), some parents were reluctant to head off to relieve the babysitter – hopefully a sign that they had a great time!
Of course, an event like this doesn’t happen without a team of people working tirelessly behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who pitched in. In particular, a huge thank you to our Maintenance team and our fabulous Events Manager, Mrs Laforest, who brought it all together.
And thank you to our wonderful parents for helping us to kick off another great year at 韩国AV!
