韩国AV鈥檚 Music Instrumental Weekend

How incredible it was to hear instruments playing all over 韩国AV last weekend, as students in Year 3 to Year 12 were able to come together and make music for the first time in over a year.

The 韩国AV Music Instrumental Weekend is an annual highlight for students in Year 3 to Year 12 who form part of the co-curricular Music Ensemble program. It is an opportunity for Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Wind Ensemble, Stringendo, along with our chamber groups, to come together and work with our specialist tutors over two days to develop their ensemble skills, build friendships across the different year groups, and extend their musical repertoire.

In-between sectionals and band rehearsals, the girls were able to spend time in games sessions run by the Seniors, as well as interacting over pizzas at lunch and demolishing brownies, lamingtons and cupcakes at afternoon tea.

Director of Performing Arts, Ms Lemon said, “The weekend ended with our first full Ensembles performance since March 2020 and it was a fantastic moment when the families and friends realised that this was the first time they had seen the girls back on stage for such a long period of time. Each Ensemble performed a work in progress to showcase the skills they had learnt over the weekend.

We would like to thank all the Music staff and tutors who worked with the musicians over the two days. The whole event would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of the teachers who run these ensembles. Thank you to everyone who came to the concert to watch the girls and show their support of our co-curricular Music program. We hope to see you all back again in the Independent Theatre for our Ensembles Concerts at the end of this term.”

Eloise, Instrumental Captain 2020/2021, said, “It was super fun and really good to have all the ensembles back together again for our first concert for our families and friends.” And Ellie, Music Captain 2020/2021, said, “It was great to be able to get to know girls in other year groups, particularly the Juniors. We had a lot of fun in our games session with them.”
