Dr Briony Scott Recognised

Congratulations to our Principal, Dr Briony Scott, who has won the 2023 Phyllis Evans Medal.

The Medal is bestowed each year by the Teachers’ Guild of New South Wales and recognises Dr Scott's unswerving dedication to fostering independent students and inspiring educators.

“Dr Scott provides an environment that allows every opportunity for students to be fully engaged in the decisions they make about life,” said the Guild. "Her commitment to young people assists and guides them to make wise choices about whom they will become, what they will do, and where they will go. She is equally committed to investing in outstanding, aspiring, and inspiring educators, particularly women, so they might rightfully take their place in leadership roles. Founder of the Renaissance Women’s Leadership Network, she is focused on creating a space for educators to influence and inform best practices.”

Dr Scott is Chair of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (2023), Deputy Chair of Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, Director of the School for Life Foundation, and a member of the Association of Independent Schools of NSW Advisory Committee, and the University of Sydney Stem Advisory Panel.
