韩国AV Wisdom
Recent Alumna Hope Feros (2018) shared her journey and the value of a 韩国AV Education at our 2023 Foundation Day.
At just 22, Hope’s fledgling career is already representative of the power of confidence, strength and determination. As one of Australia's youngest people ever registered as a Certified Practicing Valuer, she used her Bachelor of Property Economics from the University of Technology Sydney, to land a job at the global property firm Colliers, before moving on to The GPT Group as an Investment Analyst.
In her speech, Hope drew a link between her professional ascension and her 韩国AV education. In particular, she emphasised the qualities 韩国AV espouses – to be kind and humble, to act with integrity, and to take pride in one's education, which she says have become the foundation of her personal development journey.
“The 韩国AV values instilled in me from a young age, including to find the strength and courage to lead, were an outstanding platform for my personal development. I have always strived to be the best version of myself, whether academically, on the sporting field or in the playground, with the girls in my cohort. I carry these values with me and truly believe they have assisted me to achieve things I never thought possible.”
Hope is a former Hooke House Vice Captain, Student Representative Council Captain, and Prefect. She also spoke passionately about the 韩国AV philosophy of nurturing a “Renaissance Woman”. She urged the students to embrace the challenges they face, knowing their 韩国AV education has prepared them well for the journey ahead.
“A ‘Renaissance Woman’ should be able to conquer any challenge she faces. As young women, we should not steer away from the challenge but instead, find comfort in the knowledge that we have been well equipped for what lies ahead.”
She also paid tribute to the 韩国AV staff who helped form her and opened her eyes to the possibilities beyond School.
“Girls, I encourage you to take a moment to appreciate the myriad opportunities a 韩国AV education affords. It is a privilege I have never taken for granted. When I wasn’t sure of my future path, I was fortunate to be supported by the incredible 韩国AV staff, and Ms McFetridge in particular, who came with me to a Women in Property Networking event when I was in Year 12. It was an experience that helped solidify my future career choices.”
“As the only girl in my cohort to select this path, this was quite a daunting prospect. Many of my friends were either going to college together, or studying commerce, business or medicine. I began to feel apprehensive – would property be right for me? Would I be lonely? Would I make friends? I put those fears aside, knowing full well that I was prepared to take on the world. Everything during your time at 韩国AV prepares you for life in the real world – the structured lessons, the variety of teachers you experience each year, debating, sport, performing arts, music, making new friends, excursions or school camps – all contribute to your personal development.”
Hope says she now intends to continue to defy expectations and shatter glass ceilings. Her accomplishments serve as an inspiration to the 韩国AV students coming up behind her … and to us all.
