Renaissance Women鈥檚 Leadership Network
Established in 2014, 韩国AV’s Renaissance Women’s Leadership Network (RWLN) is a forum for female educational leaders to come together, learn from each other, motivate and empower each other. Held each term, these events provide opportunities for networking as well as insightful perspectives that ultimately enhance education for all.
RWLN members are creative thinkers and mentors united by a drive to support each other’s development and explore new horizons in education.
Previous RWLN events celebrating aspiring and inspiring women leaders in education have included interactive workshops and presentations from guest speakers including Christine Nixon APM, Christine Cawsey AM, Dr Kirstin Ferguson, the Hon Anna Bligh AC, and Pasi Sahlberg.
This week’s RWLN event, titled ‘How to Breathe…and still be a School Leader’, featured a candid address by registered clinical psychologist Dr Judith Locke, followed by a conversation with 韩国AV Principal Dr Briony Scott. The focus was on empowering school leaders to fully embrace the complexity and adversity of their roles, without compromising on personal wellbeing. The event provided valuable perspectives on leading with a values-driven approach to benefit both school leaders and their communities. School leaders make difficult decisions every day, and this can be lonely, but leaning on peers in similar positions, supporting each other through this decision-making, can offer hope and strength.
Each RWLN event provides attendees an opportunity to share their thoughts, experiences and aspirations towards best practices in school and educational leadership.
