º«¹úAV staff and students collaborated in a powerful way to ensure our annual STEM Day was a resounding success.

Year 10 Science students worked with academic staff to co-design lessons for º«¹úAV’s Junior School, becoming teachers in the Woodstock and Hooke House classrooms for the day. Cleverly considered lesson planning ensured that old favourites such as Play-Doh and LEGO were repurposed to engage students, while lessons including cleaning water, building and testing Earth, biodegradable pots, water striders and catapults introduced physics and biology concepts, in keeping with the species survival theme.

Students from Years 7 to 9 were engaged in a variety of events and activities across every faculty in the School, from a mathematical guide to surviving in the wild, survival evolution, innovative sustainable food production (featuring chef, Adam Moore) to a survival of species escape room!
